Dad's home and our Big Wednesday

We had a big night Monday night--Whitney came into town! We are so glad he's finally here! Hip Hip Hooray!! On Tuesday morning, we dropped Papa Hugh off at the station (poor Papa had to head back) and had some fun here. We went to the store and got Whit's bday/Father's day present, a 55" TV! Then Whit mounted it on the wall in the family room. Hooray again!

Anyhow, while all that was going on, Eli found Whit's helmet and got to playing outside. Cute, huh?

For a house warming present, Whit had this commissioned--a watercolor of our house back in Hershey! The artist did a GREAT job! What a sweet gift!!!

Here's Dora in our office, wearing her new outfit, HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Did I mention it's still cold here? Eli's in Whit's shirt..and bike helmet! (He likes helmets!)

Then on Wednesday we went to see the Redwoods!! They were awesome.

Here is Eli playing in front of the roots of a tree--the roots are only 6-10 feet deep, despite the tree's height!

Boo! The kids had so much fun!

Even though Whit's so big, even he looks tiny with these huge giants around him!

I love how tiny her hands look in Whit's hand!!

Taking photos is hard in the Redwoods because it's dark, then light then dark!

Can we say MASSIVE!?

A few minutes past the redwoods was a Marine Mammal rescue. We went and donated some money to that and saw the seals. Some of them had lost tails to sharks, etc. It was sad! Dora and Eli loved them, and we got the kids some stuffed seal animals.

There is a park right near the marine preserve that was really neat. Eli and Dora loved it.

Of course, that's right on the beach, so we walked over to it. I loved the lighthouse, too!

Dora and Eli both chowed down on some taffy Whit got--Dora has some in her mouth you can see here.

I loved all the textures of driftwood and rocks!
