Westwood Gymnastics

I finally got the kiddos enrolled in gymnastics.  They are in the same class but they break out into smaller groups and Eli's a class ahead Dora there.  But they warm up together.  They are both loving it.
I love how my kids are totally ignoring me here but that kid between them is completely locked on the fact that someone's taking his photo.  Ha!

Emmy is pretty good during gymnastics.  She mostly just plays and bounces on my lap.  She does NOT want me to put her down though.  She is such a lap baby.

Easter Dinner at Clinsey's

Every Sunday night we have a rotating family dinner.  We were at Clinsey's house on Easter.  We had an egg hunt before dinner.  The kids had a great time.  We took confetti eggs this time.  Sorry Linsey! Cleanup on those is annoying.  But they were a hit.  Literally.

Here go the kids.  You can almost see the excitement.  Or maybe that's just hair blown back by their speed. Dora brought up the rear, but I'll show you why in a second.

 Daddy and his Emmy baby.
Poor Whit had to leave for work shortly after the hunt.  He works every Sunday night now.  (boo!) We are happy to have him on a schedule though.  We love you honey.  Thanks for your hard work.
 Eli paused for a photo.
Here you can see Dora's slowness.  She had a pair of Hayley's shoes on.  In our rush out the door, we forgot shoes for her.  Linsey offered to get her a pair of Hayley's old ones but Hayley was off in a flash to loan Dora some "pretty ones".  Haha.  Dora is in an 8 or 9.  These are a 12!

Not sure who started it, but the kids loved smashing eggs on their heads!

I have no idea what these are.  Tiny telescopes?? Mine thought they were funny.

Easter Morning

This is the night before (Saturday night.)  The kids and I made a little note for the Easter bunny and left out some carrots.  We also had special eggs for each kid that we hoped he would fill.

This, although seemingly still dark, is Easter morning.  YES it's 5:45 am.  Sheesh the kids were excited.  Eli woke up at like 3 am.  I had to lock him in his room.  When I kept hearing singing in there, I finally went over at 5:45 and he and Dora were both awake and itching to go down stairs.  Good grief.
The Easter bunny ate the carrots and left a paw print!  He might even have eaten them cut into slices and dipped in hummus the night before. With his wife. ;)
Eli got an iron man racer, and the squishy ball he's been obsessed over since we went to see a model home with Libby.  It had one of those in the game room and he's been talking about it ever since.  The easter bunny brought one to each kid!
 Dora scored two ponies.
Both kids got LOTS of candy.  Too much.
Dora's favorite was the cadbury egg.
Well and they both love peeps.  What's not to like?  Puffy sugar, dipped in granulated sugar and colored yellow!

Emmy had a "ball" with her easter stuff too, including a ball of her own and singing chicks.

Happy Easter!!

Easter Saturday

The Friday lunch and egg hunt was so fun we decided to repeat it on Saturday.  We invited Jackie and Lincoln and their kids out and also Alisha and her kiddos.  In anticipation, Dora and I made sugar cookies on Friday.  I ended up having to do all the frosting, though.  Dora lured me in with offers to help, when what she really wanted was access to the frosting bowl.  Little scammer.

A double batch of sugar cookies makes a lot...

On Saturday morning, we all played in the waterpark.  I got in and played right alongside everyone else so I didn't get photos of that.  Whit sat out the waterpark, but he's not much with the camera.  So, no shots of me having fun.  Haha.  Oh well.

Whit did "races" on the giraffes, which went over so well there was a lot of in-fighting over whose turn it was.  Ha.

Eli and Brigham always get along so well!

Jackie and Alisha and I chatted while the boys occupied the kids.  Emmy blissfully slept through all the pool time.  Hooray!

Rosie mostly stood by the pool.
So did Max!  Maybe it's the age.
Then we toweled everyone off and had an egg hunt.  No one remembered to bring baskets so we pretty much just used whatever baskets I had lying around.  So ignore what kids are carrying.  Haha.  Here was the initial break out.
 Alexa making for an egg.
Nathan pretty much followed my path I took to "hide" them.  Eli (for the record) complained this year because "none of the eggs are hidden, mom."  Yep, you're right Eli.  You're the only one old enough to "look".
Don't let her fool you.  When the camera wasn't pointed her direction, Jackie was scrambling for eggs shamelessly.

Brigham would. not. hold. still. for a photo.  So this is the best I got.  Oh well.
Rosalee was more excited about a mardi gras necklace.  Haha.
Max was excited but wouldn't smile.  I wasn't doing so hot with these photos.  Oh well.
 Here are all the kids.
In this one we kicked out the tall kids.
We had so much fun!  Come play again soon!
