Emerald is One Month Old!

Baby Emmy is one month old!!! WOW I can't believe it. We tried to take some photos but she was so tired and miserable and COLICKY now that they did not come out good at all! I threw in a few at the bottom anyway of her in a duck dress, but they aren't great.

These random snapshots of her in her sleeper were actually better. I can't believe my baby is a month old already!

She smiles ALL the time. So far this is the ONLY one I've been able to catch on camera. I get out the camera and she's like, "WHAT is that black thing??"

Now that she opens them, she has huge blue eyes!

Her hands are still so tiny!

Happy One Month Bday Emerald!

Baby Emmy meets the Original Emmy

WE ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE NANA HERE TO HELP MOM AND PLAY WITH THE KIDS!!!

Yes, I know caps is yelling. I was that excited.

Bandon Trip--Again!

This is Dora holding the flowers Eli picked her. He kept having to pee, so we'd stop on the side of the road and when he was done, he would bring me, Emma and Dora flowers. Dora can't say flower--for some reason she says RABO. It's really cute. I am going to be sad when she starts saying flower some day. :-)

Here she is with her new DVD player--my parents bought them the set of two with headphones that go on the back of the seat so my spoiled kids can each watch something different. Kinda pathetic!

Nana sat between Dora and the baby AND watched Eli who was in the back. Super Nana!

Dora took a 20 minute nap. Otherwise there was no sleeping (well, Emerald, but not for the big kids.) OOOh, they were tired.

We made it!! Eli liked the peacocks--they were everywhere.

It was like 55 degrees--I will miss the Oregon weather!

Dora was really snuggly with me. What a cutie.

Here's dad with Emerald. He kept her covered the whole time and then got worried and went back out to the car. Poor baby--we don't want her getting sick!

Emma and Dora and a "black" bear. I think the people who named them were color blind.

The deer all had fuzzy antlers! I touched them (which they didn't really like) and they felt like skin! They are so neat! That was my favorite part of the free range animals. The deer had no antlers to speak of when we were here last fall--certainly not fuzzy ones.

My kids love their dad.
So cute!

We had to wait in line this time (much busier than last Fall) but we got to play with some 12 week old baby tigers.

OH MAN I am HUGE!! You can totally see the 34 pounds I have to lose in these photos. Ick. Oh well...

Dora wasn't scared this time, which was great.

Eli had a great time with the other baby animals too. Here's a baby possum. It weighed like 3 ounces.

It was really cute!

We also saw some baby ferrets, this photo below is of a coati, and also a 6 week old leopard who was CUTE but my camera died! Ooops.

Under Contract

HEY, OUR HOUSE HERE IN OREGON IS UNDER CONTRACT! WAHOO! Supposed to close July 28... WHAT a relief!!

Emerald at Three weeks...

Emerald is three weeks old (on Tuesday she was.) These photos aren't very good, but we had a LONG day. I had a project to do for work, I hadn't slept the night before, our A/C broke and had to be repaired, we had a house showing and had to clear out for over an hour (after getting it cleaned and ready). Whit was on nights and had to go in and testify for a child abuse case on a subpoena (he'd been the doc) and neither of our kids took naps because it was so hot upstairs. Sheesh. Basically, these photos aren't great because Whit had to go back into work right after we put the kids down for bed and so I threw these clothes on Emmy and just snapped a few shots. Oh well. At least we documented it, right? She spit up right after we changed her, too. Grrr.

I love these hair bows. Thanks to Angela for the hairbow tips AND the outfit Emmy is wearing. :-)

Oh and I've been pumping enough that Emmy hasn't had a single non-breastmilk bottle but I think I'm done so it's all downhill from here Emmy. She had her first formula bottle in the middle of the night... and we'll slowly wean her off breastmilk and onto formula. The gravy train has left the station! We are loving these born free bottles though. not a single one has leaked--even once.

Also, in other bits of news, we went to Bandon yesterday and I'll try to get a blog on that done today. It's the first time I've left the house since the baby (other than a grocery store run and to pick up a file from the office.)

Misc. Kids' Photos

We had a home showing last night. I think it went pretty well--we have been negotiating with them all day. In order to get out of the house, though, we went to get donuts. The kids had a ball and I got some cute photos.

But before that I took a few shots of Dora because she's wearing her cute zebra clothes...

I LOVE this photo--because Dora does this thing, "Reach me now" where she's saying "You can't reach me now" and she holds her arms out and dances around. It's really funny. This is her doing that. SO CUTE.

Kim has been coming in a few days a week and helping me out. It's been really great. Here she is holding Emerald.

Here's the donut shop. We will really miss the Jelly Donut, which is just right around the corner. Their donuts are FANTASTIC. I think 22 of the 50 pounds I gained were from their donuts. Sheesh.

Here's my HANDSOME man...

YUM!
I love these I got of Dora--she is such a ham. I LOVE this age.

Crazy eyes!
