Florida Vacation Part One

WOW, we had a great time in Florida!! Emma and my mom both came--my mom for the entire trip and Emma for the second half. I am going to blog about the fun, but in waves. One huge blog for the whole trip would take me a week to get up!

We stayed at a really nice resort that is RIGHT next to Disneyworld. It was great. Eli loved the pools (there are 7) and we liked the restaurants, too. Here is the first day we were there at the big pool.

Whit's always been a great dad--but in the pool he is literally the BEST Dad I have EVER seen or heard of. He is non-stop fun. He throws Eli, swims him around, blows bubbles, swims from one end of the pool and back underwater, catches him, splashes, and so much more! He also did a lot of jumping in and diving for Eli's entertainment. Eli had a GREAT time and never wanted to leave the pool.

There were a lot of neat fountains and sprayers for the little kids to enjoy.

Some tossing...

Dora enjoyed the pool too, though she had less entertainment.

I mostly ferried her around. I am a little less fun than Whit, so I am sorry to say Eli almost always wanted Dada.

The whole fam through a fountain.

Eli LOVES his lerdleluh and we had a great time. Any time he threw a fit or melted down, Lerdleluh could handle it. This was on our way to our favorite seafood restaurant--GREAT blue crab cakes.

At the mexican place...

Dora loves her daddy, too. He's so fun, it's no wonder he's both kids' favorite person! His shirt is right--he really is a "fungi". :-)

We started out in a studio room (kitchenette, living area, and bedroom all combined. It was pretty ...small... for all of us. So we upgraded to a two bedroom two bath villa with a patio. That was the best thing we did. WE LOVED the space, and I LOVED the patio for Eli. The weather was beautiful and he played out there for hours. We let him dump water into cups, and so on. He came up with this on his own--too cute!
