Tunnels

We have been suffering from tunnel mania at our house. It's Whit's fault, really. He made Eli a "tunnel" out of blankets that spanned the coffee table and sofas. That initial game has become more and more elaborate, with more and more area consumed in its wake.

Well, this morning, he made a tunnel with Eli's new race car track from the top of the coffee table, under the arm chair (with a blanket over it) and under the chair, then under his stool that comes out the other side. Eli was in heaven. This kept him busy until around 10 am when our blizzard slowed down enough to go outside.

Although it was still snowing, this is what our grill outside looked like around 10 am. That's a lot of snow for us!

Here is Eli, who insisted on "helping" dad shovel the front walk.

The piles of snow from shoveling the driveway gave Dad an idea. Apparently it's not only Eli who is obsessed with tunnels. I don't think this one was Eli's brain child.

You can see here that there's room for Whit in the "tunnel" that was really a cave.

Eventually both Eli and Whit fit inside. You can barely make out Whit's head behind Eli.
Here is the happy (and wet) and cold cave digging team.

And a little video of the tunnel fun.
