San Marino

We drove from Venice into beautiful San Marino.  It was a REALLY windy way up (we had a hotel right INSIDE the first castle's walls!  It was really cool, but I got sick going up there.)  Anyway it was worth it for the views!  We went and saw the first castle, and we got dinner and some crepes.  Okay we got crepes twice.  Then ... there wasn't anything else to do.  It was kind of nice to have a day off, so to speak, but I swear, it was NOT a hopping place to be at night.  Haha. The weather was gorgeous and the views were breathtaking...

 Getting up to the very top was interesting.  It was basically a ladder and I was in a dress.  Haha.  Here's Whit going up the ladder.

We saw the dungeon and heard how they abolished torture AND the death penalty, after killing like ... 4 people in several hundred years! LOL. 

 The vampire museum was seriously creepy...
