Dewberry Farms

Eli went to Dewberry farms on a school fieldtrip.  Dora and Emmy didn't get to go, so we took them with the church group when they went.  My parents came along and brought Colin with us because Linsey had a bad night the night before.

As always, we had a great time.  It wasn't even too hot!

Dora loves babies of any kind.  These chicks looked pretty awkward because they had their big feathers coming in but Dora was still excited.
My Emmy has SO MUCH HAIR NOW! I can't even believe it.  She is so in love with animals too.  She is sure that 80% of them growl, which is kind of funny.  These chicks?  Yeah, they growl.
The big kids liked the duck float.  Dora's got stuck but she still kept pumping!

DORA BEGGED AND BEGGED and pestered and pestered about the bouncy pillows until the whole group finally rerouted to do them.  That kid!

Emmy LOVED the pillow.  Thanks to Lerdleluh (Grandma Carla) for getting up there with her.  It's so annoying to take your shoes off!

So Emmy loves two people more than anyone else--me and Whit.  She always always wants one of us, usually preferring Whit to me.  BUT if she has a third love of her life, it's GRANDMA CARLA.  She loves her! She's the only person she will go to from me (other than Whit.)  SO I love having her around because I get out of carrying TWO babies around at the same time.
 Love that little girly.
Emmy has really been warming to my dad finally over the past few weeks.  He leaves for Thailand soon, but he's been around a lot more preparing to go and she's seen him lots.  She even started taking him books the other day.  REALLY cute.
We rode a tractor down to the (mini) pumpkin patch where each kid gets to pick a small pumpkin to keep.

Dora and Colin LOVED the bumpy slide.
And the big news--Emmy walked and walked and walked at Dewberry farms with my mom and then between my mom and I and then all over!  We thought she'd walk from then on.  But she didn't.  She does walk a lot more often since then, though.  Cutie.  What a little goofball.

She looked a little like Lurch.

It wore her out so badly that she was asleep before we even left the parking lot!

That little rascal can walk, but just won't do it on a regular basis. Dewberry Farm is a fun place to let the kids play. They all had a ball and so did we! Thanks for letting us go!
