Mardi Gras in Galveston

For the last three years, we have gone to Galveston for a Mardi Gras parade and the kids have gotten way too many beads.  This year was no different.

Here is the greediest, most excited little guy...

I still love that these two are such great friends.

Dora is wearing her Sweet Honey "Parade" dress, which seemed appropriate for a Mardi Gras Parade.
The kids actually waited pretty patiently, given that we had to loiter around for about 2 hours.  We got there an hour early and then it started an hour late.  Whoops.
We did get food, and Tessa ate a lot of french fries.  She would get up, stuff the whole thing in her mouth and then walk around the long way to sit down by Aunt Brooke.  It was cute.
 See?  It was sweet.
Eli got in on the photo action...
We all got a little tired of standing, so Dora sat.  She still looks cute!
Oh and we all had a great time with Daddy.  He's the best seat, and the best at catching beads.

Brooke snapped a family shot.  Loving Emmy's sunlight sensitivity.
Here's how my cute kids lifted their hands to get attention.  Dora tans so easily.  She's my one brown kid among the other sunburners.
That girl has a full bag.
Tessa started out slowly, but she will get more and more as you will see.

Oh she makes me so happy.  Love those cheeks, that smile, those squinty eyes.

Whit is such a great dad.

Brooke was a good sport, with the food, the chaos, the kids, everything.  We were delighted to have her along.
My favorite part of the entire outing was when Tessa danced and clapped with the music from the floats.
Oh it was the cutest thing in the world.
Dora got these freebie sunglasses.  Cute, right?
Oh, Emmy, look at all those beads!!
Tessa had just as many, all thanks to Daddy.

Happy Mardi Gras!!!!
