We planned a family vacation in Panama City, Florida and decided to drive (it's about 10 hours.) The half way point is right where our family lives in Gonzalez, LA. We had a good drive out. Emmy took a nap.
Then we got to Uncle Sherry's house and the kids all played, delighted to be out of the car. Emmy had a rough time because we didn't bring a pack n play for her! Poor kid had no idea what to do in a toddler bed. But she had a fun time playing with Uncle Bob!
Then we went to get beignets at the Cajun village with Shane and Tawnya and their kids and ran into Lauren and her fiance, and Brandon and his family and Kim! It was fun to see everyone that morning. Emmy hammed it up with her daddy and the hat we got for Dora for the beach. There were lots of cute hats, but Dora had to have the Hello Kitty one. Oh well!
My baby's baby blue eyes get me every time.
Dora was a sweetie as always.
Emma came with us (THANK GOODNESS) to help with the kids. Plus I love hanging out with her too.
Uncle Bob met us for beignets as well. The kids LOVE him!
Tessa was pretty good, and napped on the go pretty well.
Then we went for our second night to Seth and Courtney's. They were great to have us because Courtney had JUST come back from girls' camp! Dora and Rush just LOVE each other.
Brian drove out late that second night after working. He met me and Whit and Courtney and Seth for a movie and then dinner. We were TIRED when we went to bed that night! Emmy was delighted to see Uncle NIAN, which is how she says Brian.
Eli loves Jack and Merrick! Here he is with Merrick. Not sure how I missed shots of him with Jack, except we all knew they were coming to see us in a few weeks. (I think just 2). Can you tell Eli was delighted to be there? I think they're his favorite cousins in the world.
We took Brian to get beignets the next morning. Never enough Cajun Village!!
