Travelling with small kids is not for the faint of heart. GAH it's so exhausting. Whit took Emmy most of the time but it was still so tiring. Emmy finally passed out on the way from the Spokane airport to Papa Hugh's house. Poor tired pea.
Dora has been letting me braid her hair most every day, which is exciting.
Uncle Ivin was there too (see him in the background?) The kids are so happy to see Grandma Lila!
The next morning they were up before the crack of dawn (on Texas time)... and Whit took them to see some of Papa Hugh's fields. He's got potatoes and sunflowers growing on his farm right now.
Dora was pretty happy to have her tiny potato.
The kids also went out every hour or so to check on the chicken eggs. They were more excited about that than they were for Christmas.
Dora has been begging to hold Emmy all the time, which is really cute. Emmy's not a big fan.
The kids were helping with dinner and Eli got to do some "farm work". Eli loved peeling a cucumber. Haha.
On Monday, the kids had cousins to play with!! Dora and Clarissa LOVED playing. They were such good friends.
The boys loved riding the three wheeler. Eli was sad he couldn't drive it himself. SO, Whit let Eli "drive" himself.
The guys fired at squash and zucchini, but Dora got some shells.
PULL!!
Then there was more of the three-wheeler riding.
We also went to see Sunflowers... They were pretty!!
When we got back, we made lunch. We went to make burritos, but the cheese was old and moldy.
Emmy Bemmers was LOVING this tiny rocker. And the fact that she could climb in and out on her own.
We got pizza that night... They were pretty expensive because they had about 3 pounds of toppings on them. Haha--heart attack on a pizza.
The girls ate on one blanket...
The guys ate on the other.
Teresa read Elise a book and the kids all flocked.
Dora's been hard to get to smile!
Finally, a smile!!
And she kept letting me do her hair!
Papa Hugh had some fun times with the girls...
Uncle Golden showed up a bit so he could open presents.
And of course, so he could play Pillow Run Pass. The kids run back and forth and Golden throws pillows at them.
Emmy ate a TON--mostly watermelon and sweet corn. We had some trouble keeping her clean.
After working on his car for a bit, Golden came back and we cut some cake. 32!! Holy cow. It's coming up fast for me too.
Here's Golden with Whit and Jordan and his demolition derby car. (Pre-Derby)

Oh my goodness, so many great pictures! Now I feel like I did get to see you. I really love the one of Teresa reading the book to the kids. That's a classic.
I love Dora's braids. They look so fresh and sweet.
Love that you took so many pictures! The ones in the sunflowers were sure cute! What a great time they were having visiting their grandparents in Moses Lake. It was really neat that they got to see all their uncles and some cousins while they were there!
