Holding Hands and Clint's Party

Eli and Dora had a breakthrough the other morning--they played together, running and crawling alternately all over the house laughing at each other for more than 30 minutes. It was quite a break through. So was a few days back when (in my mom's car) they held hands for like 10 minutes! Eli saw the baby holding her hand out and took it. They were both delighted... see?

It was so cute! I asked Eli to do it again and Dora was game too. She's so excited when he loves her back...
Now some photos from Clint's bday celebration at the Incredible Pizza company (or whatever it was called) in Sugar Land. Dora has her party dress on.

Happy 31 birthday Clint! I can't believe we are so old!

The whole gang (except me!)

Eli LOVES Uncle Tick. (He calls Clint Uncle Tick for some reason!)

Happy as can be to sit by Uncle Tick...

All the old fogies...

Just to prove I was there I handed the camera to my mom...

Easter Day (Late post!)

Easter morning was really exciting. Dora even got into digging in her basket and she discovered a chocolate chick. Eli was so excited to have unlimited candy for breakfast.

Happy boy!

Dora loved this chocolate chick!

MMMMmmmmm.

We found some lizards dueling--Eli was excited!

The swing has been a BIT hit. Sadly, both kids need to be pushed, which is a little annoying.

We had another easter egg hunt, with Hayley and Colin, too. I bought some confetti eggs, which Hayley and Eli enjoyed and Hayley caught onto immediately. That's a smart little girl who loved crushing eggs!

Great Grandma Jean was there. Eli kept taking her flowers. She posed for a shot or two with Dora...

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Moving Day

This post is a little late in coming... these are photos are from our moving days... The kids sat with me a lot and watched videos while the loading was going on...

Nana and Eli spent some quality time eating cinnamon muffins I made...

Dora ate trix...

Aren't her eyes blue!?

Eli also helped Dad load. He found LOTS of little things to load, like pennies, floss, tennis rackets, tape, etc. He did find an Eli sized box or two as well, and was SO proud to be helping.

Oh and that's Dad's apron he found and wanted to wear!

We are so sad to be gone from Hershey. We miss you DAD!!

Homeless in Houston

We had a little easter egg hunt today for the kiddies out here in Houston. Eli is an old pro by now, but this was Isadora's first...

Dora has the basket I used when I was tiny and Eli has Clint's old one. On a side note, speaking of Clint, Eli calls Uncle Clint "Uncle Tick". It's kinda funny. Also, I guess I have told him he's named for his "Uncle Jesse" a few too many times. If you ask him what his middle name is, he says it's "Uncle Jesse." We miss you Jesse!

Egg hunt in PA

Eli's first Easter egg hunt (this year) went great... We were in the middle of packing the first POD so I had no idea where anything was... I just grabbed this bread basket off the counter and we used that...kinda sad, but you do what you can. You can tell he was excited. Hershey may be the only US town where the city actually does an Egg Hunt, but if Chocolate and candy is your main product, you have to celebrate any holiday that promotes the consumption of candy!

He did pretty well! Once he figured out he was supposed to get as many eggs as he can and that the eggs were full of candy, we were in business!

Dora helped us get all packed up by isolating packing materials...

Eli had a BIG BIG BIG time playing baseball over at Jana's the other day and has been asking to play ever since. He and dad (and later mom and whoever else would throw him a ball) had batting practice in our mostly empty house over moving weekend. We moved over a period of a few days since we lined up two pods and slowly packed them. It actually worked out pretty well. Thanks to everyone who helped out--especially Jana for watching the kiddies!

I don't know if you can tell, but he's actually a really GOOD batter...

Here's the angel, being cute. I love these new bows with felt flowers and feathers that Annie makes!

Dora (and Eli and I both) really misses Whitney!!

I love this shot!

Dora LOVES Emma--insists that Emma holds her whenever she's around... We all went to Chocolateworld on Saturday afternoon. We will sure miss Hershey.

Update Blogs

I am going to do a sequence of blogs tonight to try and catch up. We sold our house out in PA and moved to Houston to live with my parents for a bit until we get the house out in Oregon. Poor Whit's still out in PA working, but we played a lot before we had to go. Here are some shots at the park.

I love Dora's hair here...

We are really going to miss PA! I miss my friends out there already!! SO SAD TO BE GONE!
