Isadora is Three Months Old!!

With Eli I recall a vivid difference in my life at around 4 months. It was as though I came up from being submerged under water for months and could breathe again. I am just a few short weeks away from that feeling! :-) Seriously though, she's already sleeping much better and growing so big!! I can't believe she's 3 months old. The only bad thing is that I still have 18 pounds to lose! (But it's not her fault I am moving so slowly!)

Anyhow, these photos make it clear I am still a terrible photographer, but her adorable nature shines through in spite of my shortcomings. I just haven't had time this week to learn about the camera--I was doing work to pay for my mom and dad to come out for a visit! Dad's coming in a week and a half, and mom is coming in June! Hooray!

As an aside, the maroon dress is one *I* wore when I was a tiny thing, and l am going to do a cute scrapbook page (or maybe even a shadowbox on the wall) of the photos of both of us in it. There is a bit of my mom in me after all. I like that you can see how blue her eyes are in the first shot.

She has such dainty hands and feet--such a contrast to her brother's paws and hugely fat little feet!!

Terrible light here, I know, but she's adorable anyway.

And I can't leave out my little trouble maker. Here's a cute shot of Eli and Dad... Dad's shirt says I'm a Fun Guy (with a fungi on it). Gotta love Target Tees...

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day was not too happy at our house this year. To be fair, we got off to a bad start when I fell down the stairs early Saturday morning (getting Dora a bottle and slipped on a water bottle on the stairs) and cracked my tailbone. That's right. Embarassing!! And really painful! There isn't anything to be done for it, either. You just have to sit it out (bad pun.)

Then on Sunday Eli got Croup! Poor little guy. He is not feeling well, but Whitney got him some great medicine and he's getting better finally. I did get some lovely flowers, shown in the photo. I loved them!! Also, Eli and Dora got me a FANCY massage at the nicest place in town. I am pretty excited to go there again.

Next year all I want for Mother's day is healty kids and parents!

What a cute little girl. She is truly an angel!! And I love this little cherry top from the outlet! Thanks mom!

Eli was not in a photo friendly mood... But I snapped one anyway!

Happy mother's day to my mom, Whit's mom and all my sister in laws!! Hope yours was less pain filled than ours! (And since I missed church, I didn't get a carnation!!)

WAY TOO MANY PICTURES! AHHH

As I have already mentioned, I have a new camera. We had a pretty big Friday here at our house... Whit was at work, but Eli went to play with Jaedon and Olivia, Eli and Dora and I went on a walk and then played in the yard with Eli's water table (it was the first time it's been warm enough since we got it weeks ago!) After Dad came home, I took Eli to see Auntie Em and one of her friend's dogs. He had a great time! We finished off the night with the Bradfords and Bassetts over for fireworks. Eli loved the fireworks, clapping and clapping and asking for MORE MORE MORE! He got to stay up an hour late, but was still really upset about having to go to bed. The big surprise was that Dora liked the fireworks!!

Anyhow, here are some of my photos from our Big Friday. I hope you enjoy (mom!)

Dora outside...

My only attempt at an artsy shot!

This was my favorite photo of the day.

We had to change clothes because his first outfit got all wet.

His expression the first time he saw the dog...

My two Scrubs

Ang suggested I put up Eli's birth announcement photo, too. (It's the reason for the second set taking place out on the futon too!) You will notice one of my men has more hair in photo 2, and one has less! :-) I love them both more now, no matter their hair status. I also think they are both even cuter now than they were in August of 2007.

New Camera!!

This first photo is the only one not taken with the new camera. Emma came over after church to play with Eli, and they were playing under the coffee table. What a good Aunt!

I made this sepia tone on the camera itself!! WoW! Isn't my honey hot!

These are Eli's new jammies. My cowboy! Shockingly they aren't from Grandma Stuckey--a first!

The colors are so much better with the new camera!! But I need to figure out how to take photos manually so I can avoid using the flash. I am still pointing and clicking for now!

I love this one where Whit is getting a kiss!

I haven't ever really done bath photos, but I tried out the new camera in there today. Eli got a hair cut today, so we had to take a bath right after. I cut it a little too short, but it will grow back, right? He HATES haircuts, so it's really hard to do!

Another bath photo. His eyes look so blue in these!

Here is Dora... What a cute little button. I love this big fluffy white flower bow! She was SO GOOD today; even more of an angel than usual. What a DANG good baby! She just smiles at me all day long. SO FUN!

1/3 of the way there!!

After Eli was born, I never lost the last 10 pounds... then with Dora, I gained the same amount of weight!! Curses! So, at my 6 week exam, I had 30 pounds to lose... Now I have finally lost 10 of that 30... Just 20 pounds to go! Gah!! At least I finally lost the first 10.

New Camera and Sunday fun

Clinsey and Angela both have the same sweet digital camera--and I have been coveting theirs for a while now. With kids, it's so hard to get a good photo because of the delay between pressing the button and the photo actually being taken. Their cameras take the photo almost instantaneously. I guess my parents took my whining to heart. Last week, over a week early, I actually received a "Mother's Day" present in the mail...from my mom! (And dad.) It was a combined Mother's Day, Birthday and Christmas present for this year (it's a seriously nice camera!) I called my mom to see if I should open it early and she said yes, to open it immediately.

As you can see, my mom wrapped it up three times, with a card she made to accompany each layer. Here was the Happy Mother's Day layer.

Here's the birthday layer...

And you can see the Christmas wrap and the fancy camera itself! I ordered a 4 gig memory card online, so in a few more days, I will have amazing photos to put up of the kiddos... Maybe! It may take me a while to learn how to really use it...I am currently a point and click kinda girl.

The title, "Sunday fun" is a bad joke. My kids are always tired and grumpy after church on Sunday and Stake Conference notwithstanding, today was no exception... I wanted to take some photos of Dora in her little lemon tree dress, but Eli was eager to get some attention (and therefore photos), too. He has been anxious since the hairspray incident to "do his hair", so we put pomade in it today. Ha. He was so proud of it! You can also sort of tell in this photo that he has two more teeth coming in on the bottom. (eye teeth) Once they are in (they have already broken through), he will have all his baby teeth, excepting the two year molars. Hooray!

Dora was NOT happy about being awoken from her nap when we got home. (I didn't wake her up--I am not mean! It was the jostling in getting out of the car and into the house.) I could NOT get her to smile. It was the most I could do to get a photo where she wasn't screaming! I wanted to take some though, because my mom found me this whole ensemble because I said I really liked it. It is an old Gymboree line, some things of which I received from Linsey that Hayley wore. I loved the lemon tree stuff! You can't tell, but the blanket matches the outfit. In addition to those little socks, there is also a lemon headband, but it's a little big for her tiny head still.
